We believe most moms would agree that getting kids to eat vegetables can often times be a difficult task. So we decided to pull out a few tricks from under our sleeve to make your lives a little easier. With this fun recipe you can get your kids involved by letting them choose their own toppings, creating a healthy snack that will smile back at them. It is healthy, easy, and fun, the perfect trio.

All you need is bread, egg salad, and a few healthy toppings to create the faces. We recommend following the steps below for optimal fun, participation and deliciousness.

Step 1:

Prepare the egg salad. We recommend using our Naturegg Omega 3 Hard Boiled Egg Snack Pack. Suggested recipe: here.

Keep the egg salad in the fridge until ready to be served.

Step 2:

Place toppings in easily accessible bowls and put them on the table for the kids to pick and choose from.

Tip: Shaved carrots make great “hair” and sliced hard boiled eggs can make some for fun big eyes!

Step 3:

Toast the bread and call the kids.

Step 4:

Depending on the age of your children, it may be useful to put the egg salad on the toast to avoid an unwanted mess.

Step 5:

Have your kids help with the decorating and making their favourite silly faces! Smiling kids = Smiling moms
