Hosting a party can get stressful; especially when your guests are waiting patiently (hungry) for the meal to be served. EGG Bakes! Crustless Quiches can be easily transformed into appetizers to make your next family gathering or cocktail party effortless.

Available in the freezer section in 2-pack format and 5 delicious varieties, EGG Bakes! Crustless Quiches contain up to 13g of protein per quiche, and are made with Burnbrae Farms Naturegg Nestlaid eggs .

Bacon & Cheddar Quiche Bites

What you’ll need

To pan sear bacon pieces:

1. Cube bacon into 16 bite-sized pieces.

2. Heat a frying pan over medium heat.

3. Place bacon pieces on the pan and stir until bacon is browned.

4. Remove bacon from pan and place on plate lined with paper towel to soak excess fat.

5. Set bacon aside.

To make EGG Bakes! appetizer bites:

To heat the quiches in the microwave (1200W instructions):

1. Remove one frozen crustless quiche from plastic wrap.

2. Place on a microwave-safe plate.

3. Microwave on high for 90 seconds* or until hot.

4. Remove from microwave and let stand for 30 seconds.

5. Repeat steps 1-4 for the second quiche.

Once heated, cut the crustless quiches into 4 pieces. You will have 16 pieces of quiche to create your appetizer bites.

To assemble appetizer bites, pierce the bacon with a toothpick then place in middle of piece of quiche.

Garden Vegetable Quiche Bites w/Glazed Pearl Onions

What you’ll need

  • - 16 whole pearl onions

  • - 2 tsp olive oil

  • - 2 tsp sugar

  • - ¼ tsp dried thyme

  • - Salt & pepper to taste

  • - 16 toothpicks

To glaze pearl onions:

1. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring and tossing occasionally, until browned.

2. Sprinkle onions with sugar, salt, and pepper. Add 2/3 cup water and dried thyme. Cook for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally until water has evaporated and onions are tender.

Save onions until you are ready to assemble your quiche bites.

To heat the quiches in the microwave (1200W instructions):

1. Remove one frozen crustless quiche from plastic wrap.

2. Place on a microwave-safe plate before heating.

3. Microwave on high for 90 seconds or until hot.

Spinach & Ricotta Quiche Bites

What you’ll need

To sauté spinach:

1. Heat oil in a saute pan over medium heat.

2. Add garlic to pan and stir until garlic starts to colour.

3. When garlic starts to colour, remove from heat and add spinach.

4. Toss spinach in garlic and olive oil to coat evenly.

5. Add salt to taste, toss again, cover and let sit for 2 minutes.

Ensure spinach is well coated, and save to place on top of your quiche bites.

You will have to heat the quiches in the microwave (1200W instructions):

1. Remove one frozen crustless quiche from plastic wrap.

2. Place on a microwave-safe plate before heating.

3. Microwave on high for 90 seconds or until hot.

5. Repeat steps 1-4 for the second quiche.

A: Yes! EGG Bakes! Crustless Quiches can alternatively be cooked in the oven for 20 minutes at 375⁰. (Cooking times are a guideline. Temperatures and appliances may vary.)

A: There are no added preservatives in EGG Bakes!; it’s not necessary as they are frozen immediately after being made. That being said, any preservatives found in the quiches are from the added ingredients we purchase – such as cheese or meat – much like you would find at the grocery store.
