Ham and Swiss Frittata in a Jar

Ingredients

1 cup / 150 g
chopped deli Black Forest ham
5
processed swiss cheese slices, chopped
2 cup / 500 g
Egg Creations Whole Eggs Original, well shaken
pinch
each salt and pepper
Chopped fresh chives (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375ºF.

  2. Divide ham between 8 (4oz/125ml) ovenproof jars sprayed with cooking spray; top with chopped cheese.

  3. Place on a parchment-lined, rimmed baking sheet.

  4. Add salt and pepper to the egg carton and shake to combine. Divide eggs between jars, adding about 1/4 cup to each.

  5. Bake for 18 to 24 minutes until set.

  6. Sprinkle with chives (if using).

Tips

  1. Add 1 tbsp/15 ml diced vegetables such as sweet bell peppers, onions, tomatoes or mushrooms to each jar if desired.

  2. Frittatas can be baked in 4 oz (125 ml) ramekins instead of jars if preferred.

  3. Can change to EGG Creations Fat Free Original and shredded swiss cheese if preferred..

  4. Serve with whole grain toast and fresh fruit.
