Hole-In-One

A hot breakfast couldn't be easier to prepare.

Ingredients

1
thick slice of your favourite bread
olive oil or non-hydrogenated margarine
1/4 cup / 50 g
Egg Creations Fat Free Original, well shaken
1 tbsp / 15 ml
shredded Cheddar cheese, optional

Directions

  1. Cut a 2” (5 cm) circle in centre of bread slice. Brush both sides of bread lightly with olive oil or margarine.

  2. Heat a frying pan large enough to hold bread slice. Cook bread until golden on one side.

  3. Turn over. Fill centre hole with the eggs.

  4. Cover pan and cook on low heat until egg is set, about 5 minutes.

  5. If desired, sprinkle cheese over circle of egg. Serve warm.

Tips

  1. Toast circle of bread that you remove from centre and use it as a garnish.

  2. These can be prepared and kept warm in a warm oven until the required numbers have been cooked.
