  • Makes: 1
  • Cook time: 1-10 min

Ingredients

1 - 2
Naturegg Omega 3, large (quantity varies by size of dish used)
0.5 - 2 tbsp / 7.5 - 30 ml
water
1/8 tsp / 0.5 ml
baking powder
Spritz small
Canola oil cooking spray (or similar)
salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. MICROWAVE INSTRUCTIONS:

  2. Choose a round, oven-safe glass or ceramic bowl with a flat bottom that is 9cm / 3 inches in diameter, the most common size of an English Muffin. Note: the flat, bottom part of the bowl will be the size of the egg patty. (Refer to our 'Tips' for instructions on dishes with alternate sizes)

  3. Spray the round, oven-safe glass or ceramic dish with cooking spray.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the water and baking powder.

  5. Add the egg and whisk vigorously until the mixture is fully combined and nice and even in color. This takes about a minute. You should no longer see any clear clumps (egg white).

  6. Pour the scrambled egg mixture into the greased ramekin or dish.

  7. Cook in microwave for 1 minute. (This is based on 1100-1200w microwave. For lower wattage microwaves, add 10 to 15 seconds)

Tips

  1. OVEN COOKING INSTRUCTIONS: Replicate prep instructions from above; preheat oven to 230 degrees C / 400 degrees F; Note: Do not use metal bakeware.

  2. For a lighter, fluffier texture replace water with milk or cream.

  3. These patties can be frozen, so you can multiple the recipe to make several at the same time and use as needed. So convenient!
